International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modelling IMPRS-ESM

The doctoral degrees Dr. rer. nat. and Dr. rer. pol. will be awarded by the enrolling University according to its standard rules, after acceptance of the doctoral thesis and a successful defense. This university will usually be the University of Hamburg. The students have the choice of doing their doctoral exam either at a German university or at their home university.
The successful participation in the demanding program of the IMPRS-ESM will be awarded with an IMPRS certificate supplementing the doctoral degree.
